Three-Point Estimate

An estimate based on optimistic, most likely and pessimistic values to reflect uncertainty. It can use a triangular average or the PERT (beta) formula.

Example

The triangular estimate for O = 4, M = 6, P = 14 is (4 + 6 + 14) ÷ 3 = 8 days.
